why is this a HTML site?

because I want full aesthetic control, and flat/"smooth" design is tied to both the worst parts of the modern internet and the great A.I. forcedfeeding. designing this page from scratch is another layer of "making art" and a refusal to rely on the nauseating world of templates. I'm not nearly as serious as I sound here.

I have a few projects going right now....

• I have a book series about demonology with CLOAK.
  • Read An Exchange in Demonology: Improvement of the Self and Others on itch.io as a PDF or buy a print copy through McNally Jackson.

• Play my new solo RPG, TYPECASTE.

• I'm writing blog posts for the Poetry Society of New York.
  • I have a series coming up about how to find and use technology that isn't an LLM-based AI.

• I'm finishing my next book.
  • It's about memory, the bends, mythology, and the way we change over time.

• I'm a full-time educator:
  • English Composition I, Introduction to Literature, Introduction to Communications, Introduction to Psychology, Career Development, and College Success.
  • Weekly Academic Advisement, Self-Study Comittee, and Course Design Comittee

• I used to throw digital events in VRChat.
  • My first two events were a book release and then a cult sacrifice of a homunculus. We crowdfunded a halberd for a mouse girl.
  
  
• I was previously professional game master on StartPlaying.Games.
  • I have a bunch of different games and also take custom requests.
  
  
• I'm not able to make the open mic right now, but I used to be the government mandated bisexual barista of an open mic.
